GIVEAWAY: Meet Lampe Berger, the French Home Fragrance

My friends, I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again—the French do it better. Having been so fortunate to walk the streets of Paris three separate times (soon to be four!), I have been completely mesmerized by the people of France. They are simple, chic and timeless. And everything and everyone there is completely gorgeous. Including their home fragrance, the French classic, Lampe Berger!

This post is sponsored by Lampe Berger. All opinions are my own. Wondering how to use Lampe Berger and Lampe Berger Oil, or what it is? Read on and I’ll show you!

When Lampe Berger first approached me about a partnership with them, I’ll admit I hadn’t heard of them before. When I mentioned it to a family member who lives in Europe, she instantly recognized the brand and told me she loved Lampe Berger and the Lampe Berger oils. Lampe Berger is very well known in Europe, but they are just recently expanding into the United States. Lucky us!

At first glance, you might think that this is a perfume bottle. It is, sort of. It’s perfume for your home—but in a way you probably have never seen before.

After getting the opportunity to try their products out for several days, I am a complete convert! Here’s how it works!

How to use a Lampe Berger oils and lamp

Choose a fragrance from their massive fragrance line. It’s important you only use one of the Lampe Berger oils they created specifically for their lamps. This apple-vanilla scent is amazing—perfect for Fall!

Add your scent to the bottle and fill it about 2/3 of the way. They include a small funnel to make this easy.

This bottle is so beautiful! It’s called L’Originelle (The Original) and is modeled after the original lamps from the early 1900s!

Pouring Lampe Berger oil into a fragrance lamp

Insert the wick into the lamp firmly. If it’s brand new, give it 20 minutes to soak up the scent.

Inserting a wick into the Lampe Berger burner

Light the wick. Be careful—the flame will be high! After two minutes, blow out the flame.

Add the vented cap. The lamp should now be producing fragrance with no smoke or flame.

Placing the vented cap on a lampe berger lamp

Add the vented cap. Be careful not to touch the burner/wick—it can get hot! The lamp should now be producing fragrance with no smoke or flame – that’s how you know it is working.

After about 15 minutes, switch the vented cap for the solid cap. If you have a small space, or only want the scent in a limited area, you can add the solid cap at 5-10 minutes.

That’s it! Enjoy!

The catalysis’ unique technology purifies your air

The catalysis is a unique technology with an exclusive patented burner that both purifies and perfumes the air. The catalysis actually destroys the molecules that are responsible for bad odor. So you’re not hiding any odor—you’re destroying it and completely getting rid of it.

In fact, Lampe Berger was originally created by a pharmacist to purify the air in hospital rooms in the late 1898—so it’s legit!

Choose how much scent you want

Another thing I really appreciate about the Lampe Berger lamp is the ability to control how much fragrance you are using. You can subtly layer the scent in, or be super bold with it if subtlety isn’t your thing.

The Lampe Berger flameless lamp is safe for dogs and children

Having two (very active!) dogs, I really appreciate that the lamp is flameless after the initial lighting. I’ve had some near misses with candles before—if you’ve ever tried to get wax out of carpet, you can relate!

It doesn’t hurt either that the Lampe Berger is available in an incredible variety of styles, designs and materials in order to meet everyone’s style. either. You can check out all the styles here, but I’m partial to the one above.

Certain Lampe Berger Oils repel mosquitos and helps you enjoy outdoor fragrance

If there’s anyone else like me out there, who gets absolutely eaten up by mosquitos, you’re going to love this. You can use the Lampe Berger lamps outside. In just 30 minutes of use, the Summer Night fragrance repels mosquitos within a 100 square foot radius, while also releasing a subtle ocean breeze fragrance – perfect for patios, backyards and balconies.
