Best Fall Cocktail –Gin & Ginger
I feel quite odd about the whole fall thing. On one hand, I’m ready for boots and plaid and cozy fires. On the other hand, I will miss swimming and sunshine with all my heart. Know what makes me feel better? The best fall cocktail ever. It has gin. And ginger liqueur. It’s so good you guys!
We came up with this cocktail idea one night when we wanted to make a Moscow Mule, but were missing the right ingredients. We had the copper mug, so we decided to make something similar, but totally different. The result? This delicious drink we have decided to call a Gin & Ginger Fizz. The ginger is from my new favorite liquor–The King’s Ginger liqueur. It’s soooo yummy! There’s also a hint of lime topped off with the savory herb rosemary, for a perfect balance of flavors.
To start, measure out your alcohol servings and add them to a cocktail share with a bit of ice.
Give it a good shake, pour into your mugs and top with whatever sparkling beverage you’d like!
To make sure you get maximum rosemary, give it a good muddling to release the flavor a bit more.
Gin & Ginger Fizz
serves 2
Ingredients:
1 1/2 oz gin
1 1/2 oz King’s Ginger liqueur
12 oz of lime sparkling beverage (we used La Croix)
2 sprigs of rosemary
Add gin and ginger liqueur to cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake well, then pour over ice into 2 copper mugs. Top with sparkling beverage. Add sprig of rosemary to each, muddling slightly to release flavor. Enjoy!
I could totally see this being served at an upcoming holiday party. The copper mug and the rosemary sprig add to the fall-ness of it all. Also, if you’re wondering where the mugs are from, I got these ones on Amazon and love them! Give this drink a try and tell me what you think!

I’m not an alcohol/cocktail kinda gal, but I gotta give props for those ‘mugs’ – so gorgeous! Presentation is everything!
Rebecca it would be fun even to have some sparkling water and lime in! They are just pretty!
I don;t think I have ever tried anything that had gin in it but this sounds like such a fun recipe. And I will try anything in a copper mug!
Nadine, gin is my favorite! Give it a try and let me know what you think.

Thanks Elle! There was a bit of a server issue that morning, boo!

Thanks Connie! Hope you give it a try. 🙂
Stopping by from Whimsy Wednesday. First of all – I am in love with those mugs – so beautiful! Second – I am in LOVE with this drink. Gin & tonic with actual ginger is too good. Pinning!
This looks like it will be a perfect cocktail for the holidays!
