My Valentine’s Day Themed Craft Party
There’s something about February that has me itching to play with arts and crafts. It’s probably all the adorable Valentine’s Day stuff out everywhere, or the fact that it’s freezing and gross outside, but either way I have the urge to create. What’s more fun than playing with arts and crafts?
Playing with arts and crafts with your friends! Oh, with wine and cookies too. 🙂 Last year I gathered some friends for a Valentine’s Day crafting party, and this weekend I did it all over again. #Crafternoon2015 was a success!
I didn’t do very much in terms of preparation. I set out some of my favorite crafting supplies—pink and red ribbons, washi tape, pink paint-chip cards, stamps, markers, punches and watercolors along with some snacks. I kept the snacks pretty simple this year and we sipped on red wine and sparkling water. So fancy. 🙂
Everything was pretty informal—we didn’t have a set agenda or project. Some people just did watercolors, other people did stamping or calligraphy. I did a little of everything but mainly talked a lot and watched my friends create—they are all so talented!
I did find enough time to make this valentine for Scott (close your eyes honey! Or at least act surprised when you get it!). I was so happy with how it turned out! I used watercolor, stamps, freehand and embossing! I used to emboss everything a few years ago, and I have remembered why I love it so much. It’s fun and beautiful—I’m definitely back on an embossing kick now!
Have you guys been up to any artsy stuff lately? I’d love to see your projects! I bet they are just my type (haha get it?)!

Oh my goodness, I just love that card you made! Such a great combination of stamping and watercolor! I’m just going to invite myself along to your next craft night, okay? 😉
Brynne, you got it! 🙂
That card that you made Scott — LOVE it. Well done. And it looks like #craftafternoon2015 was a success! You have great crafting supplies!
Thank you Amy!! I hope it’s his type. Hehe. I have a crafting supply addiction for sure!
lol, you say you don’t have time for reading, I do because I don’t do adorable fun things like this! Love the card you made 🙂
Haha I think I just need more hours in the day!! I want to do it all! 🙂
What a great idea! It looks like y’all had a blast.
