Easy 5-minute Succulent display

Quick and easy succulent garden - takes less than 5 minutes to make and is really hard to kill, so win/win! :)

Okay, I know I’ve confessed my issues with plants and my black thumb several times. And yes, I killed a cactus (and many other plants, RIP), but lately I’ve been craving more greenery in my life, so I’m taking another shot. And I solemnly swear I’ll do my very best to keep these ones thriving! And also that I’m up to no good. 🙂

I decided to go tiny and pick up some small succulents that I could display. I found this glass hanging terrarium at Michaels (similar here) and went with a friend to a local plant nursery to pick up some succys (can we call them that? Is that a thing?) to fill it up.

I found my three succulents after some deliberation, but then got completely side-tracked by all these adorable tiny baby plants! Look how cute they are…and I love the itty bitty pots I picked up to go with them!

My friend picked up some too and we assembled them together in about 3 minutes…then spent 30 minutes or so photographing them. The struggle is real. 🙂

I haven’t decided if I’m going to hang this guy, or set it on a shelf. Honestly, I kind of want to go back and get more and make a big display, but I have to prove that I can keep them alive for a bit first.

Here’s hoping—and if not, I’ll just keep making these pretty displays with faux ones, like the ones below! 🙂

  1. These are adorable! Really feeling like I need a hanging planter in my life. I am SLOWLY amassing a collection of plants that I haven’t killed. (Although it’s a bit of a two steps forward, one step back situation.)

  2. So precious! I love these tiny potted succulents. I have just begun putting my succulents into glass this past fall and I really like the way they look. Yours are adorable. Dropping by from Link Party Palooza.
