I am aware it’s Super Bowl weekend and my focus should be on how to decorate our house for the tiny gathering we are hosting, or what kind of snacks to make, but to be honest…I’ve got calligraphy on the brain much more than football. Although I haven’t been practicing my hand lettering lately (boo!), I continue to be amazed at all the talent that people have—specifically these seven incredible calligraphy and hand lettering artists on my favorite social media outlet—Instagram (you can find me here!). Take a look!
Courtney at @hibridblog. I love Courtney’s bold style and how she incorporates her unique design and vision.
Kelsey at @sheinthemaking. Kelsey is such a sweet and talented young lady that I photographed a wedding alongside several years ago It’s been fun to watch her talents take off—calligraphy is one of the many she has!
Kelsie at @scribblesandsweettea. Kelsie has the perfect swoop-y letters that I’m tempted to print out and trace over and over again until I can write half as gorgeous as she does!
Lindsay at @lindsay_letters. Lindsay was my first calligraphy-crush and is still one of the most talented artists around. If you haven’t seen them yet, definitely check out her shop!
Rachel from @goose_and_gemma. Rachel is mucho talented. I love her style and her photos leave me itching to pull out some ink and a nib and get to writing.
Lauren from @laurenessl. I got to take not one but two calligraphy classes from Lauren at her lovely studio here in Dallas. Watching her write is mesmerizing. I really did trace her letters over and over for a few months. Probably time to get back to that. 🙂
Kris from @krisdrayovitch. My friend Kris is equally kind, beautiful and talented. The first time I met her she had the most amazing calligraphy label for a Strawberry Cake…which happens to be my favorite dessert. I have been biding my time for a calligraphy lesson from her ever since. 🙂
I know there are so many talented calligraphers out there—do you all have any recommendations? Please pass them my way! Happy Superbowl weekend! 🙂
