New Blog Layout- & a Giveaway!
Ya’ll.
So much goodness that to share this week that I seriously don’t even know where to begin. I guess start with the obvious?
First of all…new blog layout/design! Yes mams/sirs! I worked with the very talented Lynsey to create a feel, look and color scheme that is much more me. I’ve been blogging over a year now, and it’s taken some time to figure out what vibe I wanted to create, but Lynsey nailed it. Peaceful, pretty, vintage with a hint of glam. Who says gold glitter can’t go with mint, cream and pink? Not meeeee! 🙂 You all knew I wouldn’t ditch the gold, right?
Also- I’ve recreated the headers on the site for easier navigation. About me is where you can learn…well…about me! 🙂 Our before and after showcases our house progress so far. House projects is where you can view all the hundreds of crazy house related things we have tackled thus far. Arts and crafts will take you to fun diy projects, most of which are fairly painless. Life and lists is where I stored anything personal- parties, thoughts on marriage or faith or anything else. I also am a huge lists fan and am including my “ten things” lists in this group. Finally, food and drinks is where you can find fun cocktails and recipes. I expect to continue to grow this category in the future!
On the right hand column, right under my photo you will see a series of adorable social icons. This is where you can connect with me through a variety of mediums- Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, E-mail, RSS, Pinterest and Bloglovin. If you aren’t familiar with Bloglovin- you should get familiar with it! I just discovered it, and it’s a fantastic new way to follow your favorite bloggers in one simple, easy to read place. It will even suggest new bloggers to follow based on who you follow. Check it out! (and follow me! :))
We’ve also made it easier to pin any images to Pinterest by simply hovering your mouse over the image and clicking the “pin it” glitter heart button. Easy and effective. Bam.
I’m really excited about the new look and wanted to celebrate with my first ever giveaway, with something from one of my FAVORITE stores—West Elm! I love so much of their stuff (you can see how much from checking out my wish list here) and ordered some cute personalized bottles the other day. They are Oil & Vinegar bottles with wooden round lids that say “rock” and “roll”.
Cute, right? You can use them for oil and vinegar obviously, but the possibilities are endless. Why not a wine flight? Or a cocktail? Or soy sauce and honey or whatever else you are into.
