{Free} 2019’s Coolest Desktop backgrounds + How to Make Your Wallpaper HD
As a self-employed writer and blogger, I spend a LOT of time staring at my desktop (too much?). It’s always been my philosophy that if you have to stare at something, make it nice to look at. I have been known to switch my desktop backgrounds quite often—and why not when these wallpapers are free? 😉
Free Desktop Wallpaper
I decided it was time to stop hoarding all my free desktop wallpaper and share—get ready for a ton of wallpapers and backgrounds! These are all computer backgrounds – but I do have a post with cute iPhone wallpapers here if that’s what you are looking for.
Each wallpaper is organized by category, but here’s a quick link to each if you want to jump on down to that section:

1920 x 1080 Wallpaper (Wallpaper HD)
Quick note! One thing to look for when you are searching for desktop wallpaper is high res wallpaper. If it isn’t high res, your desktop wallpaper will look blurry and stretched. There are a lot of different sizes of wallpaper that’s HD out there, but the most common size is 1920 x 1080 wallpaper.
That being said, these are all HD backgrounds, but to get them as 1920 x 1080 wallpaper you need to click the link underneath each desktop background to download the wallpaper in HD! No more weird, blurry wallpaper—free high res wallpaper all the way, woohoo!
Anyways, I am not going to be greedy and keep my desktop obsession to myself, however. Here are some beautifully designed desktop wallpapers—all downloadable for F R E E! Woohoo!

It’s hard to say exactly what constitutes pretty backgrounds or even beautiful backgrounds, but I feel like you know it when you see it. These wallpapers and backgrounds are girly and fun – and once again, FREE! 🙂

- iPad mini. I love using this to read blog posts and e-magazines. And Pinterest of course. 🙂
- Laptop case. To keep my tech looking pretty!
- keyboard cover. I get so many compliments on this and people always ask me if I painted my keyboard pink! 🙂
