5 Minute Craft: DIY Boot Clips (With Video!)

It’s boot season, ya’ll! Unless you’re here in Texas, where we are still “enjoying” 70-80 degree weather. Seriously, I’ve been dying to put my boots on! Since it’s been too hot to actually wear them, I’ve been doing the next best thing—creating accessories for my boots. Yes. You can accessorize boots and it is glorious.

This 60 second craft is so easy and so cute! DIY boot clips are my new favorite thing!

I made the cutest DIY boot clips—I’m so excited to share these with you all. If you don’t know what boot clips are, that’s totally okay. You will soon and you will love them and want to make a million. You could—this project is super fast and easy! This 5-minute craft is instant gratification in the best, craftiest way.

Quick DIY + Boots = ❤️❤️❤️

It gets better though! Not only do I have a full blog post tutorial BUT I also have a video to share too. So whether you are a reader or a watcher—you too can have boots with the accessories, which is far superior to boots with the fur. 😉

Truthfully, this project is so easy that anyone could do it. I was being 100% serious…you’ll see.

First, gather your supplies:

Burlap flowers
Hair bows (I got the youth cheerleading size so they are nice and giant!)
Chiffon flowers
Duck clips
Hot glue gun
Feathers
Leather strips

These are SO cute! I haven't heard of boot clips but these look so easy to make. I can't wait to try this!

Duck clips are flat and longer on one side—the longer side is what you’ll glue to the back of the flower/bow. The clip will attach to the top of your boot—and you’ll look fab!

Duck clips can be found here on Amazon, or in the jewelry section of any craft store.

Gather yourself some cute chiffon or burlap flowers (these are from Hobby Lobby but you can find similar ones on Amazon). Hot glue the duck clip on and you’re done!

Now you can change the entire look of your boots in an actual second! See it all with the video here:

Oh! Almost forgot to mention—you can also wear these in your hair! So, your boot clips can become your hair clips. Maybe sanitize them first. Maybe not. You know your feet better than I do. 😉
